Set up with an AI agent
Let your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or similar) install Golf with you. Golf publishes a runbook written for agents: it tells the agent how to choose a track with you, check prerequisites, ask for the values only you can provide, run the one-command installers and verify the result.
Paste this into your agent, in an empty directory:
Read https://docs.gitgolf.app/agent-setup.md and help me set up Golf.
The agent will:
- ask which track fits you: local Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloudflare-native
- check the prerequisites on your machine and tell you how to fix anything missing
- ask for the values only you can provide (an admin username and email; for Cloudflare, your hostnames and which optional services you want)
- run
./scripts/install.shorpython3 scripts/golf_cloudflare.py install, showing you the plan before anything billable happens - verify the install and tell you how to sign in, stop, update and remove it
What the runbook tells the agent
Ask before anything billable or destructive, never print secrets into the chat, use the installers instead of hand-rolled steps, and report failures honestly. Read the runbook.
